The Incubator for Social Enterprises and Entrepreneurs for Development (ISEED) at IRMA organised it 5th Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) on "Building & Managing Social Enterprises" from 7th- 9th February, 2019.
The three-day programme was attended by 16 participants from diverse backgrounds. Among them were recent graduates with work experience who plan to start-up or have recently started up as well as members of not-for-profit organizations looking to explore enterprise models. There also were dedicated sessions on managing accounts and finances, putting systems in place and marketing social enterprises.
The EDP was designed to encourage start-ups to think and plan activities differently. This was done using insights from innovation, design thinking and from lean start-ups, so as to enable social enterprises to build business models for growth and scale.
Mr. Vijay Rathod, a recent awardee at the National Entrepreneurship Awards (NEA) 2018, conducted a session and shared his entrepreneurial journey with the participants. Mr Vijay is the co-founder of a renewable energy enterprise called VRG Energy India Pvt Ltd.
