The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) is a premier, national level institute for education, training, research and consultancy in rural management and allied fields. Founded in 1979, IRMA’s mission is to promote all-round sustainable rural development through professional management. IRMA’s flagship Programme, the two-year Postgraduate Diploma in Rural Management, has produced close to 3400 rural management professionals. Additionally, IRMA offers a Fellow Programme in Rural Management as well as a 15-month Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Rural. IRMA also offers a range of Management Development Programmes for mid-career professionals and Faculty Development Programmes. IRMA’s faculty undertakes action-oriented and policy-focused research and consultancy activities.

IRMA is now looking for a new Director. The minimum qualifications and experience required for the post are as under:
Ph.D. degree and First Class or equivalent at the preceding degree in business and management (all fields)/ humanities/ social sciences
At least two successful Ph.D. guided as Supervisor/ Co-Supervisor and minimum 8 research publication in SCI journals / UGC / AICTE approved list of journals
Minimum 15 years of experience in teaching / research / industry, out of which at least 5 years shall be at the post equivalent to that of Professor
The Director provides academic and administrative leadership to the Institute. The ideal candidate will possess the experience and personal qualities that will help IRMA fulfill its purpose. She/he would have led or had significant experience in a reputed academic institution. The position of Director, IRMA shall be contractual in nature for a maximum period of five years and can be extended for one more term, depending upon the performance. The salary and perks offered are nationally competitive. The superannuation age for the Director at IRMA is 65 years. The selected candidate would be required to join at the earliest.
