IRMA Campus – a connected ecosystem for learning

The IRMA community enjoys a 60-acre campus that is complete with all facilities for engaged learning and comfortable and secure living. The campus is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities like lecture halls, seminar rooms, library, auditorium, Executive Training and Development Centre (ETDC), students hostels, Student Activity Centre (SAC), faculty and staff housing, dispensary and other support facilities. The institute provides high-speed, secure WiFi and LAN network connectivity spanning across rooms, library, labs and departments.

Student Accommodation

The Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management) - PGDM(RM) - students’ accommodation comprises of a 15-block hostel complex with a total of 494 rooms, with its fully-furnished single rooms. The hostels house a prudent mix of students from both batches of the management programme providing great opportunities for camaraderie. The participants of the 15-month Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management - Executive) - PGDM(RM-X) - reside in a modern housing complex. The complex has sixty fully furnished studio apartments equipped with a double bed, kitchenette with water purifier and a common area for recreation. View Walkthrough

The Fellow Programme in Management (Rural Management) - FPM(RM) - participants may avail accommodation in either hostels or the staff quarters.

The hostels have access to high-speed, secure WiFi, LAN network connectivity and network printers.

Library

The Ravi J. Matthai Library at IRMA was named after Prof. Ravi J Matthai, one of the founder members of the Institute and was formally inaugurated by the then Prime Minister of India, late Shri Rajiv Gandhi, on March 22, 1986.

The Ravi J. Mathai Library at IRMA is one of the country's most comprehensive and resourceful libraries in the area of rural management. The Ravi J Matthai Library supports the teaching and research programmes of the institute. It has built up a need-based collection to meet the information needs of the faculty and participants of various programmes of the institute. The collection includes books, journals, back volumes, project reports, microfilms, microfiche, videocassettes, maps, compact discs and state, national and international documents. It has developed an information retrieval and dissemination system for effective and efficient utilisation of the available resources. The library services happen to be fully automated through KOHA software enabling searching, reporting, circulation and innumerable other functions. Linked to a campus-wide computer network the library provides easy access to faculty, students, and researchers through the intranet powered by KOHA Web-OPAC. Services provided by the library include reference, library orientation, inter-library-loan, Internet access and photocopying. The library has also been subscribing to E-journals and Databases i.e. ABI-Inform (Management), EBSCO (Management, Environment, IT, Social sciences), JSTOR (Social Sciences Archives), CMIE databases (Prowess, Commodities, Economic Outlook & States of India) and Indiastat.com, a database of Socio-Economic statistical information, EPW & EPWRF, Sage e-journals etc. The library also subscribes to DELNET services which is a helpful resource for teaching and research. Recreation and Cultural Life

The campus is buzzing with activity round the year, with the Student Activity Centre as its epicentre extending to the well-equipped auditorium with a capacity of over 400 people. The cultural student body and the IRMA Staff Club organize various cultural programmes, entertainment and sports activities at the Institute. 

For the sports and fitness enthusiasts, the campus provides indoor and outdoor infrastructure facilities for football, cricket, badminton, table tennis, boxing, billiards and foosball. The campus also has a fully equipped gym. View Walkthrough
