Abhishek Mohanty, Ahana Hui, Anuska Sarkar, and Kartik Paliwal from the 45^th batch (2024-2026) of IRMA's Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Rural Management) - the PGDM(RM) - have been declared the national finalists in HPCL Power Lab, organised by HPCL.

The competition aimed to test participants' abilities to analyze industry-specific challenges, develop strategic solutions, and present data-driven insights tailored to the oil and gas sector.

Round 1: Online Assessment

Participating teams engaged in a rigorous 30-minute online assessment consisting of 45 questions covering Data Interpretation, Analytics, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Skills, and domain-specific knowledge about the Oil and Gas Industry and HPCL.

Round 2: Executive Summary & Prototype Submission

Shortlisted teams progressed to the next stage, where they were required to submit a two-slide presentation. To further enhance their proposal, teams had the option to include a two minute pitch video to articulate their ideas.

Round 3: Detailed Presentation Submission

Teams that cleared the previous round were tasked with preparing an in-depth presentation. This round assessed their ability to translate their initial ideas into a structured, data-driven solution.

Round 4: Physical Semi-Finale

The most promising teams from the detailed presentation round advanced to the semi-finale, held at Symbiosis International University, Pune. In this phase, participants presented their solutions to the HPCL jury, followed by an engaging Q&A session to test the depth of their insights. The semi-finale results were announced on the same day.

Round 5: Grand Conclave

The top-performing teams from the semi-finale moved on to the Grand Conclave. Here, they delivered their final presentations before the jury, who meticulously evaluated their solutions before announcing the winning teams.

The team was a national finalist out of 1,29,000+ participating teams.
