Promila Ayyangar is an Associate Partner at Vyaktitva, a people performance consulting company, where she has been an Executive Coach and Organisation Design and Development (OD) Consultant since 2010. She works with senior leaders across a cross section of industries, helping them successfully navigate change through building a strong vision, culture and leadership capacities with a positive business impact.
Prior to becoming an OD consultant, Mrs. Ayyangar headed various business units during her 30+ years in the software industry, starting with NIIT where her mandate was to help India’s emerging IT industry compete at the global level. Between 1989 and 2009, she was responsible for successfully negotiating numerous lucrative national and international collaborations in the IT sector across India, and during her posting in London, where she was responsible for business across UK, Europe and Middle East.
Mrs. Ayyangar completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Management from the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA) in 1982. She was hand-picked by Dr. Verghese Kurien, the Founder Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), to be his Executive Assistant. Her early career interactions with some of the greatest national leaders in India’s rural industry shaped her life’s philosophy and cultivated a strategic and nuanced understanding of people which continues to underpin her creativity when it comes to helping individuals find their own path through challenges.
Mrs. Ayyangar maintains a lifelong commitment to girl child and women empowerment. Gender equality at workplace and coaching potential women leaders to grow within organisations is a special area of focus. She serves as an external member on POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment at work) committees at a number of organisations. She also inspires people to develop a culture of giving through Daan Utsav, where she has been a volunteer since its inception in 2009.
