Profile Summary

• Prof. L.K. Vaswani , currently Adjunct Faculty at IRMA has over 42 years of experience in academics, industry and research. Before joining academics Prof. Vaswani spent 16 years in Research & Industry. Beginning his career with ICAR in 1976 as Scientist, he worked with Operations Research Group (ORG) and Krishak Bharati Cooperative Ltd. (KRIBHCO) before joining IRMA in 1991. He worked in IRMA, Anand for 15 years in various capacities including NABARD Chair Professor and Acting Director till November 2006 including a short-term assignment as CEO of newly formed Indian Coffee Marketing Cooperative (COMARK) in Hassan, Karnataka during 1995-97.As Founder Director of KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM), KIIT University he spent12 years in establishing and managing the school for Currently he is also associated with MICA, Ahmedabad as Adjunct Faculty. 

  
  He has completed more than 50 major consulting assignments for organisations like World Bank, FAO, EEC, UNIDO, UNDP, EXIM BANK, NDDB, NABARD, SAIL, ICZMP,NHDC and number of state governments, corporate and development organisations.

  He has conducted more than 120 Management Development Programmes; published and presented around 60 papers in India and abroad; 6 scholars have been awarded PhD under him and 2 scholars are registered with him. He has been visiting faculty at VAMNICOM , MANAGE,NIAM and IIM, Indore. Was associated with Gramin Vikas Trust (GVT) Board, Advisor, National Livelihood Resource Institute (NLRI), Ratlam, Member, Expert Committee for SEEDProgrammes, DST,GOL; and Member Small Grants Programme UNDP-CEE, Eastern Region. 

  Besides Marketing his current interests include Livelihoods, Value Chain Development, Rural Marketing , Sustainable Development and CSR.
