Brief Profile

• Santosh Kumar Dash currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Economics Area at the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), Anand. His primary research interests revolve around empirical macroeconomics and public finance, with a focus on key areas such as inflation, economic growth, and the sustainability of current account balances in macroeconomics. In the realm of public finance, his studies various aspects of GST and its implications, and the sustainability of public debt.
  
  He obtained his PhD in Economics from the Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), Chennai. Previously, he was at the Gulati Institute of Finance and Taxation, Kerala, as an Assistant Professor. He has research experience of nearly five years in leading think tanks such as IFMR LEAD, Chennai; Center of Excellence in Fiscal Policy and Taxation (CEFT), Bhubaneswar; New Delhi; National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP), New Delhi; Institute of Economic Growth (IEG), New Delhi; and the Foundation for Public Economics and Policy Research in various research capacities.

  He has published his research works in peer-reviewed journals, including Economic Modelling, Journal of Quantitative Economics, Economics Bulletin, Journal of Public Affairs, and Economic and Political Weekly. He has presented his findings at numerous national and international conferences and has served as a referee for journals such as Economic Modelling, Empirical Economics, and International Economics, among others.
