This collaborative platform will serve as a catalyst for research efforts focused on agriculture and rural development. By bringing together the expertise of both entities, we intend to address key challenges and explore innovative solutions that will contribute to the overall development of the commodities market.

b) Enhance Capacity Building:

To empower stakeholders in agricultural markets, including farmers, traders, and policymakers, the Centre will develop specialized programs and initiatives within the joint centre of excellence. These initiatives will be designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the participants, thereby equipping them with the tools necessary to navigate and excel in the dynamic commodities market environment.

c) Promote Knowledge Sharing:

The centre is dedicated to creating a dynamic platform for knowledge sharing. Through annual conferences and symposiums, the Centre will foster an environment where industry experts, researchers, and practitioners can come together to exchange ideas, share best practices, and showcase innovations. This collaborative space will contribute to a deeper understanding of challenges and opportunities within the commodities market ecosystem.

d) Support Policy Formulation:

One of the primary objectives of the Centre is to contribute to evidence-based policy formulation. Through rigorous research studies, the centre will provide valuable insights and recommendations to policymakers. By focusing on the efficiency and effectiveness of agricultural markets, the Centre aims to benefit all stakeholders involved, including government bodies, policymakers, industry players, and farmers.

e) Strengthen Industry-Academia Collaboration:

The Centre recognizes the importance of fostering strong ties between NCDEX and IRMA. The establishment of a joint centre of excellence serves as a foundation for continuous collaboration and mutual learning between academic and industry experts. This collaborative model ensures that the insights gained from research and academic endeavours are directly applicable to real-world challenges, promoting a seamless exchange of knowledge and expertise.
