Areas of Work

The IRMA Water Centre will pursue the following objectives:

Research and Consultancy – Focusing on practical solutions in water harvesting and conservation, watershed management, safe drinking water supply and sanitation as they affect rural livelihood improvement

Education and Capacity Building – The Centre will design and offer academic courses on water management targeted especially to social entrepreneurs, professional managers, water smart start-up leaders

Resources repository – The Centre will build a strong resource repository of data and success stories/case studies from multiple sources and countries for identifying best practices, designing replicable experiments, learning, sharing and product building

Action Research on Water Institutions - The Centre will also work for developing effective water institutions at the grassroots for sustainable watershed management and other similar initiatives
