Dr Anne Gibbs has international experience in managing infrastructure asset projects, teams and in finding operational and financial performance improvements to benefit infrastructure and government organisations.  She has worked across government organisations and in the consulting sector as well as in the not-for-profit sector and has undertaken international humanitarian aid work as a RedR Australia Engineer in many countries.  Recently Anne was advising CDRI Secretariat (coalition for disaster reliant infrastructure),  New Delhi, as a specialist expert in disaster resilient infrastructure leading the global transport infrastructure portfolio amongst other tasks.  Anne is an accredited Engineering Executive Certified Practicing Engineer in the areas of Civil, Municipal, Leadership and Management, A Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia and a member and graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds an MBA and DBA as well as Bachelor and Post Graduate qualifications in Civil and Municipal engineering and management.

Professor Syed IslamProfessor Syed Islam
Prof. Syed M Islam is the founding Director of the Centre for New Energy Transition Research at Federation University. He was also the Executive Dean for the Institute of Innovation Science and Sustainability at this University. Prior to joining Federation University, he was the John Curtin Distinguished Professor in Electrical Power Engineering and the Director of Centre for Smart Grid and Sustainable Power Systems at Curtin University, Perth, Australia. He received the Dean’s medallion for research at Curtin University in 1999. He received the IEEE T Burke Haye’s Faculty Recognition award in 2000. He received the Curtin University inaugural award for Research Development in 2012. He received the Sir John Madsen medal in 2011 and 2014 for best electrical engineering paper in Australia. He has published over 270 technical papers in his area of expertise. His research interests are in Condition Monitoring of Transformers, Wind Energy Conversion, and Smart Power Systems. He has been a keynote speaker and invited speaker at many international workshops and conferences. He has been a Visiting Professor at Shanghai University of Electrical Power and Xian Jiatong University, China. He was a key member of the CRC Centre for Integrated Engineering Asset Management research team.

He is a Fellow of the Engineers Australia, a Fellow of the IEEE and IEEE PES and member of the IEEE IAS, and DEIS, a Fellow of the IET and a chartered professional Engineer in Australia. He is a founding Editor of the IEEE Transaction on Sustainable Energy and an Associate Editor of the IET Renewable Power Generation. He was the Guest Editor in Chief for the IEEE Transaction on Sustainable Energy special issue on Variable Power Generation Integration into Grid. He is a member of the C4NET Board.

Prof. Uday KumarProf. Uday Kumar

Prof. Uday Kumar is the Chair Professor of Operation and Maintenance Engineering & Director, Luleå Railway Research Center at LTU (JVTC). He is also member of the Board of Luleå University of Technology.  He has more than 30 years of experience in research, consulting and finding solutions to industrial problems directly or indirectly related to the reliability and maintenance of engineering assets. He has been associated with many international projects in China, Finland, France, India, Norway, and UK, etc. He has been responsible for several EU projects related to Maintenance Technologies.  

Prof. Kumar is one of the Editors -in -Chief for International Journal of System Assurance, Management, and Area Editor (Europe) for Journal of Quality in Maintenance Engineering (JQME). He has published more than 350 papers in International Journals and Conference Proceedings, and has co-authored 8 books on Maintenance Engineering and related topics. He is an elected member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences(IVA).

He was awarded the Nordea Science Foundation Award for significant contribution to science, society and region. He is also a recipient of the distinguished alumnus award of IIT BHU.

David DainesDavid Daines

Mr. David Daines (Dave) is an asset management professional with significant experience at an operational and corporate level within the Resource Sector. Dave has an extensive background that has always involved working in demanding and challenging roles drawing on strengths in leadership, strategy development, decision making and financial management to deliver solid results.

Dave is on the Board Director of Asset Management Council (AMC), Australia (April 2012) and a representative of the AMC on Global Forum of Maintenance and Asset Management (GFMAM). He is also on ISO Standards Committee TC 251 – Asset Management: Australian Mirror Committee MB-19 and chair for the Australian Mirror Committee for Standards Australia. He represents Australia’s interest on the ISO Technical Committee development of the ISO 5500x Asset Management Standard. He is Company Secretary on Board of International organisation developing Assessor Competency & Global Certification scheme for Asset Management.

Professor Rakesh MishraProfessor Rakesh Mishra
Professor Rakesh Mishra leads Energy Emission and the Environment research group within the school of Computing and Engineering, at the University of Huddersfield. Professor Mishra is also a co-director of  Centre for Thermo-fluids, Energy Systems and High-Performance Computing at the University of Huddersfield. Prof. Mishra is an active consultant to many Thermo-fluid industries and has run several knowledge transfer partnerships successfully. He is currently involved with several projects including EPSRC, STFC and Innovate UK projects. Prof. Mishra is very active in renewable energy research and is involved with many renewable energy organizations. Developments of  digital twins of various physical systems are currently one of the major research areas that  Professor Mishra is focussing on.

Mr. Vilas ShindeMr. Vilas Shinde

Mr. Vilas Shinde has field experience of more than two decades in modern farming practices and farmer producer organizations. He heads the largest farmer producer company (FPC) in India with more than 17000 farmers and INR 850 Crore Turnover – M/s. Sahyadri Farms. Today, Sahyadri Farms is the largest exporter of table grapes in India, holding more than 15-17 % shares of grapes exported and the largest tomato processing unit churning 1000 Tonnes of tomatoes daily during peak seasons. While creating, guiding & leading farmer-owned Value Chains, Mr. Vilas always focuses on end-to-end market-driven solutions. His contribution to other commodities like Banana, Sweetcorn & Mango is recognized locally and globally.

Mr. Vilas holds post-graduate degree in agricultural engineering from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri Rahuri.

Prof (Col) Aditya ParidaProf (Col) Aditya Parida

Prof. (Col) Dr. Aditya Parida, worked as Professor at Luleå University of Technology, Sweden. He worked for several Swedish National research foundations, and industries, besides European Union research projects. He has worked for 23 years as an Operation and Maintenance Engineer in the Indian Army and prematurely retired as a Director of Management Studies, Army HQs. He was a visiting Professor with several Universities in Sweden, Japan, Finland, Iran, and India. He was member of the European Maintenance Assessment Committee, SMRP (USA), and Secretary of European Masters and PhD thesis award committee.

Dr. Aditya authored of two books, four book chapters on Asset and Maintenance Performance Measurement. His publications include over a hundred peer-reviewed journal and conference papers in the area of Operation & Maintenance, asset engineering and management, performance measurement management and eMaintenance. He has been a Guest-editor of eight special issues of JQME, COMADEM International, IJPE and IJSAEM. He is Associate Editor, COMADEM International. The Emerald Group has awarded him with the Outstanding Paper Award-2007 for JQME. He is an external Examiner, REAM Masters' Program, Manchester University, UK (2018-22).

He was awarded with Eminent Alumni Award from VSSUT, Odisha, India in 2017.

 

Title: Integrated Asset Management: a key to sustainable development for rural and regional communities
Dr. Gopi Chattopadhyay, University of Qld
Dr. Gopi Chattopadhyay, Ph.D. (University of Qld), has 40 years of experience in industries and Universities in operations, maintenance, reliability and asset management. He is Postgraduate Programme Coordinator for Maintenance and Reliability Engineering in Federation University. He was Professor  of Strategic asset management in Central Qld University and Head of Engineering Management programmes in Qld University of Technology, Australia. He is current Chair of Gippsland and was past Chairs of Brisbane and Gladstone of Asset Management Council, past President of Australian Society for Operations Research (Qld) and Vice President of Maintenance Engineering Society of Australia (MESA, Qld), industry reviewer of ISO55000 series of standards on Asset Management and Total Asset Management Plan of Queensland Government. Gopi was Chair of International Conference on Maintenance and Intelligent Asset Management (ICMIAM) in 2020, 2021 and is co-chair for 2022 edition. Gopi supervised 19 PhD, secured over 2.5 Million Australian dollars of funding and published 200 international journal and conference papers.

Raghuvir Pai, Professor
Raghuvir Pai, Ph.D.(IIT-Khadagpur),  is a Professor in Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal, India. Later he pursued his PhD in Tribology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He was a BOYSCAST postdoctoral research fellow at Cranfield University, England, at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane and an Endeavour Executive Fellow, Australian Government at Federation University Australia. He was the Dr T.M.A. Pai endowment chair in Tribology at MAHE, Manipal. He has held various administrative positions in MAHE, Manipal over the past 20 years. He was the Head of Department, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Joint Director at Manipal Institute of Technology, Director of International Centre for Applied Sciences and Director Research (Technical), MAHE, Manipal. He was the founder Dean of the School of Engineering at Manipal’s Dubai campus. He was also the founder Dean of the School of Science and Engineering at Manipal International University, Malaysia. He has a number of research publications in journals and international and national conferences. His expertise in research is in the field of water lubricated bearings, externally-adjustable bearings, tri-taper bearings, tribology of machining metal matrix composites, Nano lubricants in bearings and Biomechanics. He guided ten students for their Ph D. He is the founder President of Asset Management Society, India.

Mr. Umakanthan Anand

U Anand is the Head – Reliability, Static Equipment at Reliance Industries Limited.

A graduate in Science from University of Chennai followed by graduation in Metallurgical engineering from Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru.

Close to 33 years of experience in managing the reliability and integrity of assets in large to very large Petrochemical plants, Refineries, Power plants and Tank farms.  

He has a deep understanding of design of static equipment and corrosion / degradation mechanisms in typical refinery and Petrochemical plants. He has vast experience in application of conventional and advanced NDE’s for in service inspection of assets. He has a passion for development of next gen leaders who will be leading the asset integrity management in the years to come. He also drives development of new and advanced NDE methods by collaborating with academia and Industry.  He has a vision to bring in the next generation technology in NDE and corrosion management technology for process plants that will be on-line and real time.

He has worked in governance, vigilance and anti-corruption departments in various zones of the Indian Railways, ports of Kolkata, Haldia, Chennai, Paradip, Kamarajar Port Limited, Andaman Lakshadweep Harbour Works and Indian Maritime University.
